Lady Paladins Conclude Play At Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

Athens, Ga. - Sophomore Kathleen Ekey posted a four-over par 75 to lead Furman to a 311 during the final round of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic Sunday morning at the University Club in Athens, Ga.
Auburn cruised to the team title with a final round 289 to finish 11 strokes ahead of second place Florida. Arkansas finished 16 strokes back in third place. The Lady Paladin finished 16th in the 18-team field.
Maria Hernandez (72-73-70=215) of Purdue and Leah Wigger (72-72-71=215) of Virginia tied for individual honors at two-over par for the 54-hole event. Blair Lamb, who carded a final round 76, and Corrine Carr (74-80-78=232) were Furman's top finishers placing 45th.
Furman returns to the course April 6-8, when it travels to Greensboro, N.C., for the Bryan National Collegiate.
