Furman Women's Golf Moves Into Seventh Place at Papa John's Collegiate

Miami, Fla. - The Lady Paladin linksters shot the low round of the day with a 310 at the Papa John's Collegiate to move into seventh place (329-310) overall after 36 holes of competition. Kathleen Ekey shot a second-round 76 (79-76) and is currently five strokes off the leader in a tie for sixth place among the individual leaders at Don Shula's Golf Club.

Four Lady Paladins significantly lowered their scores from the opening 18 holes, with Ekey's 76 leading the way. Monique Gesualdi (81-79) is tied for 25th, while Blair Lamb (83-78) is right behind her in a tie for 30th place. Theresa Paik had the second-lowest Furman round on Monday with a 77, bettering her first-round score by nine strokes.

Louisville leads the field of 12 with a total score of 621 (308-313), but three teams are within eight strokes of the Cardinals.

The third and final day of the Papa John's Collegiate will conclude Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
