Srinivasan Ties For Third To Pace Paladins In Second Day Of Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Sophomore Natalie Srinivasan (-6) fired a 68 to tie for third to pace the eighth-ranked Furman women's golf team Saturday in the second round of the Landfall Tradition at the par 72, 6,166 yard Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.

Srinivasan, a native of Spartanburg, S.C., birdied No. 1 then added a second birdie on No. 6.  After making the turn at an even 36, Srinivasan went on a tear, notching four birdies on the back to lead the Paladin squad with six total birdies.  She finished the round five strokes back of Virginia's Beth Lillie (-9) and Ana Belac (-9) of Duke, who lead the field with a two-day total of 135.

Senior Alice Chen (+4) is tied for 34th after adding a 78 with two birdies on Saturday, while senior Reona Hirai (+5) posted four birdies in her last five holes for a one-under 71 and enter's Sunday's final round tied for 39th.  Junior Haylee Harford (+6) added three birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 10 and No. 11, to tie for 47th with a second-round 76, and senior Jacqueline Bendrick (+11) moved into a tie for 79th after carding a 75 with four birdies, including back-to-back birdies on No. 7 and No. 8.

Freshman Madison Moosa (+7), who is playing as an individual, scored a 77 with two birdies to tie for 55th on Saturday.

Fourth-ranked Duke (-14) continues to hold a one-stroke lead over No. 2 Alabama (-13).  No. 16 Michigan State (-2) remained in third, while ninth-ranked South Carolina (+1) held onto fourth place.  Sixth-ranked Oklahoma State (+4) moved up two spots to fifth place, and the Paladins (+6) are tied for sixth with LSU (+6).
