GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The seventh-ranked Furman women's golf team will compete next week at the Central District Invitational hosted by Michigan State at the par 72, 6,470 yard St. Lucie Trail Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
The 54-hole tournament will feature two rounds on Monday, beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament concludes with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
Furman will be joined in the 14-team field by No. 32 North Carolina, 44th-ranked Augusta, and No. 49 Louisville. Rutgers, College of Charleston, Maryland, Memphis, Ole Miss, Iowa, UNC Wilmington, Nebraska, Toledo, and host Michigan State make up the rest of the field.
Five Paladin players rank among the top-100 nationally. Totland, who tied for 20th among the individuals at last season's national championships, ranks 39th and is second on the Furman team with a 72.1 stroke average. Harford, the 2016 SoCon Freshman of the Year, leads the Paladins with a 71.9 stroke average and boasts a 46th place ranking. Freshman Carly Burkhardt currently holds an 90th place rating and a 74.1 stroke average, and Chen, the 2016 SoCon Co-Player of the Year, ranks 93rd and holds a 72.7 stroke average. Srinivasan is ranked 98th and boasts a 73.7 stroke average.
