Athens, Ga. – Senior Stefanie Kenoyer (76-76=152) fired a four-over 76 on Saturday to lead the Furman Paladins in the second round of the 39th Annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the par-72 University of Georgia Golf Course.
The Lighthouse Point, Fla., native moved up to a share of 27th place after two rounds and stands eight strokes behind tournament leader Numa Gulyanamitta (E) of Purdue. Marta Silva Zamora (+1) of Georgia and Emily Tubert (+1) of Arkansas are tied for second place after 36 holes.
The University of Alabama (+1) carded a 291 on Saturday to move four strokes ahead of second place Purdue (+5). Georgia (+9), Duke (+11) and Notre Dame (+12) rounded out the top five in the tournament's 23-team field that includes 19 of the top 40 teams in the nation. Furman (304-307=611) is in 21st place after two rounds.
Final round action is scheduled for a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. Furman will tee-off as a team from No. 17.
