Greensboro, N.C. – Senior Stefanie Kenoyer fired an even-par 72 to hold a share of third place after 18 holes at the UNCG Starmount Fall Classic at the par-72 Bryan Park Players Course on Sunday.
The Lighthouse Point, Fla., native, who started on No. 8, carded an eagle at the par five No. 2 and a birdie at the par five No. 4 to forge a three-way tie for third place at even-par with Emily Ransone of Penn State and Jessie Hollandsworth of Maryland. Alex Buelow of Stetson grabbed the first round lead at two-under 70 while Brittany Marchand of North Carolina State is in second place after an opening round 71.
Furman's Laura Wearn, Liz Wendt and Alexa Rancourt each shot nine-over 81 as the Paladins settled for 11th place after 18 holes shooting 315. North Carolina State and Maryland are tied for the lead at 14-over 302 while Western Carolina is three strokes back in third place.
Second round play is scheduled to begin with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. on Monday with final round action set for a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
