Furman Women to Face Clemson Wednesday

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Lady Paladins, who are coming off a 70-53 win over Rice, will face cross-town rival Clemson on Wednesday in Timmons Arena.

This will be the 21st meeting between the two teams. Clemson leads the series 18-2.

In the Lady Paladins' win over Rice, junior Melissa Liebschwager lead the team with 15 points, while sophomore Kali Holtfreter added 11 and junior Katie Johnson contributed 10. Liebschwager also led the team in rebounds with 5, and senior guard Chrissy Phelps added 8 assists to the winning effort.

The Lady Tigers are currently 4-5 on the season, with recent losses coming from Arkansas and Michigan State. Earlier this season, the Lady Tigers defeated Rice 62-59. Clemson is lead by D'Lesha Lloyd, who averages 11.7 points per game.

The game will be played in Timmons Arena, with an approximate tip-off time of 7:00 p.m.
