Dixon Completes Signing Class

GREENVILLE, South Carolina -
Furman women's basketball coach Dr. Sam Dixon announced on Thursday the signing of 6-0 post player Maggie McKemie to a National Letter of Intent.
McKemie, a senior at the Christian Academy of Louisville, Ky., was named to the 2005 All A Regional and State Tournament Teams and to the 28th District All Tournament TEam. In addition, she was chosen for the Kentucky Lions All-Star Team and led her Christian Academy squad to the State A Championship.
"We are very excited that Maggie chose Furman," said Dixon. "She is a good athlete with very good skills. In addition, she comes from a winning program and is going to fill a need with her ability to play inside and out."
McKemie joins five others in completing the 2005 Lady Paladin basketball freshman class. The previous signees are Sarah Baker of Nashville, Tenn., Melissa Liebschwager of Memphis, Tenn., Katie Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Courtney Opie of Powder Springs, Ga., and Katie Agin of Duluth, Ga.
