Nadalin Named SoCon Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, South Carolina - Furman senior Jen Nadalin has been selected as the Southern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for February 8. This is her second Player of the Week honor this season.

A forward from Guelph, Ontario, Nadalin led the Lady Paladins to two conference wins last week. She started the week with 23 points and 10 rebounds in a 64-60 win over Wofford on February 1. She shot 80 percent (8-of-10) from the floor and hit seven of her eight free throws. She also picked up two blocks and three steals in the win. Nadalin finished the week with 13 points and five rebounds en route to a 73-68 Furman win over Appalachian State on February 5.

On the week, Nadalin averaged 18 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 61.9 percent from the floor and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe. She also picked up five blocks and three steals.

Other top performers last week include College of Charleston's Patrice Bryant, Chattanooga's Tiffani Roberson, Davidson's Jessica Mitchell, ETSU's Tiffani Mayes, Elon's Tierra Bumbrey, UNCG's Jasmine Byrd, Western Carolina's Jennifer Gardner and Wofford's Mary Jo Yee.
