Furman To Battle College Of Charleston Saturday

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's women's basketball team is set to battle the College of Charleston on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Cougars' TD Arena.

The contest will be live streamed via Stretch Internet and will include StatBroadcast live stats, with links for both available thru FurmanPaladins.com.

The Paladins (2-3) are coming off a 106-41 loss to nationally sixth-ranked Mississippi State on Wednesday.  Junior All-Southern Conference guard Le'Jzae Davidson paced Furman in scoring against MSU with 17 points, and the Nashville, Tenn., product tops the squad in scoring (17.8 ppg).

The Cougars (2-2) dropped a 78-58 road verdict to Wofford on Sunday in their last outing.

Furman knocked off the College of Charleston, 72-58, in the last year's season opener in Greenville, getting a game high 19 points from Davidson, and the Paladins claimed an 80-71 verdict the last time the two met in Charleston during the 2012-13 campaign. 

Furman holds a 25-16 advantage in the series between the two schools.
