The 5th Annual Furman Blue Shoes Mile Weekend

5:00-7:00 p.m. at The Furman Alumni House (located overlooking the Irwin Belk Track Complex).

Saturday, April 10, 2010--The Blue Shoes Mile Run

This event is part of the annual Furman Invitational Track & Field meet conducted at the Irwin Belk Track Complex on the campus of Furman University, in Greenville, SC.

 

The Furman Blue Shoes Mile Races

In conjunction with the Furman Track and Field Invitational, the Blue Shoes Mile will offer two exciting races that are open to runners of all ages and abilities. Walkers are also welcome.

The Blue Shoes All-Comers Mile is for anyone and times will be announced as the runner crosses the finish line.

The Blue Shoes Competitive Mile is for those runners desiring to test themselves against the clock and other competitors regardless of ability and will be officially timed with results made available.  At the conclusion of the Blue Shoes miles the five fastest females and five fastest males will receive awards.

Early entry deadline for all Blue Shoes Mile events is March 29, 2010.  Each pre-registered race entrant will receive a "Furman Track & Field Blue Shoes Mile" T-shirt. Participants may receive their race packet and T-shirt at either at the "Meet the Milers" reception on Friday evening or upon check-in. The entry fee is non-refundable. .  Final check in for each race is required before 10:30 a.m. at the Blue Shoes registration tent.

Race-day registration will open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Blue Shoes registration tent.
