GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Furman men's tennis team has earned a 64th place ranking in the latest poll, the ITA announced yesterday.

The team finished the 2007 season ranked 64th in the country and held their place thanks to some tough competition during the fall season.

The Paladins are set to kick off the 2008 season with a trip to number 24 Tennessee, followed by trips to Florida State (#18), Florida (#14), Alabama (#13), Yale, and Georgia Tech (#44).

The tough competition in January will allow them to prepare for what will surely be one of the biggest matches of the season, a Feb. 24 trip to defending national champion Georgia.

After non-conference play concludes, the team's conference schedule won't get any easier. Elon (#53) and College of Charleston (#63) also earned rankings in the latest ITA poll.
