CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Junior Bo Ladyman advanced to the main draw of the ITAWilson Mideast Regional Championships after winning two straight matches in the qualifying round.

Ladyman began play on Wednesday by defeating MacLane Wilkison (UNC) 6-1, 6-1, then advanced to top Alberto Diaz (The Citadel) 6-2, 6-4 to qualify for the main draw.

In the first round of the main draw, Ladyman defeated Sommer (Richmond) 6-0, 6-0. He faces the no. 1 seed David North (Georgia Tech) today.

"Bo played one of the best matches of all-time yesterday [against Sommer]," commented head coach Paul Scarpa. "He played three great matches, then he and Andy carried it over into doubles with their win."

In doubles action, Ladyman and Andy Juc paired to defeat Bailey/Mixson of FSU 8-4 in the round of 64 on Thursday. They face Gullan/Stone (UNC) tonight.
