Clemson, S.C. - The Furman men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to the Indiana Hoosiers at the Hoke A. Tennis Center on the campus of Clemson University on Thursday afternoon. The Paladins dropped to 6-9 on the year while Indiana improved to 9-6 overall.

Furman's lineup was changed, most significantly at doubles, due to injury. The Paladins dropped all three doubles matches, and found themselves in a one-point hole to start singles play.

The Paladins could never get going in singles play, dropping matches in flights one through five in straight sets. Freshman Jordan Walters managed the only Furman victory of the afternoon with a 6-3, 6-2 win over sophomore Peter Antons.

Furman will try to get back on the winning track as it returns to Southern Conference play. The Paladins will host the Davidson Wildcats on Sunday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m.
