2008-09: Bruner teamed with Watson George for a 2-0 doubles record. The duo posted wins over UNC Asheville and Washington & Lee.
2007-08: In the fall of 2007, Bruner went 1-0 in singles play and 1-0 in doubles play with partner Ethan Asher.
2006-07: As a freshman, Bruner won his only singles match against Washington & Lee 6-4, 7-5.
Prep/Personal: Bruner helped lead Highland Park to three straight state championships. He ranked among the top 30 juniors in Texas and among the top 200 in the nation. In 2005, Bruner finished in the top eight of the Texas Open. Last summer, he was a quarterfinalist in doubles at the ITA Texas Summer Circuit. Robert is the son of Bob and Margie Bruner and was born on September 14, 1987. He intends to major in history.
