Furman To Face Valparaiso In Orlando On Tuesday

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's tennis team will square off against Valpariaso Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. in a neutral match in Orlando, Fla.

Saturday's match marks just the second meeting between the two schools.  The Paladins beat the Golden Eagles, 7-0, last season in Florida to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Furman enters the contest riding a seven-match winning streak.  The Paladins hold an 8-3 overall record and 1-0 SoCon mark after topping Georgia Southern, 6-1, on Friday  Sophomore Ivan Mitric ranks 104th nationally.  Junior Jake Bhangdia boasts an 8-1 singles record at flight four, and sophomore Drew Singerman is 9-0 in singles play. 

Valpo is 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the Summit League.  The Golden Eagles will face Hampton in Florida on Monday before taking on the Paladins.  Valpariaso is coming off a 4-3 loss at Western Michigan on Thursday.
