Freshman year (2014-15): Rhodes posted a 2-3 overall singles record a 1-1 mark in SoCon matches, playing at flight six. He recorded a 6-2, 6-4 win versus USC Upstate then picked up a 6-7(2), 6-4, 1-0(10-5) victory at Chattanooga during the regular season. In doubles, Rhodes teamed with Juan Sheppard and Jacob Behal at flight three. Rhodes and Behal put together a four-match winning streak from January 27 to February 14, when the Paladin duo defeated USC Upstate, Penn, #54 Princeton, and #67 UCF. Rhodes was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Prep/Personal: Stefan Rhodes competed under coach Jono Ward at St. George's College in Weybridge, UK, where he was ranked 139th nationally in the Great Britain Men's National LTA Rankings and ranked in the top 20 nationally in Under 18 Singles. He was a doubles finalist at ITF Under 18 Grade 5 at age 16 and won the Surrey State Singles Under 16 Championship at age 14 and 15. Rhodes was a member of the first men's team from St. George's Hill to win a play-off to qualify for the Great Britain Team Tennis Regional Division and competed on the Under 18 state team that placed third at the 2014 Great Britain National State Championships. Stefan Patrick Rhodes was born on May 25, 1996, in Allentown, Pa., to Graham and Conny Rhodes. His father played tennis at Loughborough University, where he helped the team to the UK University Team Championships title in 1982 and 1984. Rhodes plans to study business administration.
