Greenville, S.C. - The Furman men's soccer team will conclude its regular season home slate and continue its bid for a conference title on Tuesday when it hosts first place Wofford in a 7 p.m. match at Stone Soccer Stadium.

The Paladins, 8-6-2, have won three straight matches and four of their last five to move into contention for the regular season title and a berth in the four-team Southern Conference Tournament with a 3-2-0 league mark. Wofford enter's Tuesday's match, the Terriers' regular season SoCon finale, at 8-2-3 overall and 4-1-1 in the league. A win over the Paladins would give Wofford a first place finish at the right to host the SoCon Tournament as the No. 1 seed. A Furman win, coupled with a victory at the College of Charleston on November 10, would give the Paladins they top seed and the right to host.

Furman downed Georgia Southern 3-2 at Stone Stadium on Saturday night to secure its third consecutive victory and give head coach Doug Allison his 200th win at the helm of the Furman program. Senior Jordan Howard netted the match-winning penalty kick in the second half to deliver three points to the Paladins in a match that was marred by six cautions and two red cards.

Tuesday's match marks the 35th meeting between the Paladins and Terriers with Furman holding a 29-4-1 series lead. Wofford topped Furman 1-0 last season in Spartanburg, S.C., to snap a 21-match Paladin series winning streak.
