Greenville, S.C. -- The Furman men's soccer team, set to face Clemson on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Riggs Field, climbed three spots to 14th in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas (NSCAA) Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday.
The Paladins, ranked third behind Wake Forest and Duke in the NSCAA/adidas South Region Poll, sport a 12-1-0 overall record and perfect 5-0-0 Southern Conference worksheet after 1-0 victories over Wofford and Appalachian State this past week.
Furman continues to lead the nation in almost every team statistical category, including goals against average (0.31) and goal per game (2.77). The Paladins have outscored the opposition 36-4 over the first 13 matches and have allowed just two goals in five league contests.
Following Wednesday's non-conference tilt at Clemson, Furman travels to the College of Charleston for a key Southern Conference matchup on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
