Furman Versus Gardner-Webb Soccer Match Rescheduled For Sunday

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The men's soccer match between Furman and Gardner-Webb, scheduled for Saturday night at Stone Soccer Stadium, has been moved to Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. due to forcasted heavy rains from Hurricane Ivan on Friday and Saturday.
Furman enters the match at 0-3-1 on the season after playing to a 0-0 draw with Louisville and falling 1-0 to Harvard in the Diadora/Spinx Furman Invitational this past weekend. Gardner-Webb is 2-3-0 on the season after dropping a 3-0 decision at Liberty on Wednesday night. In its only previous match against a SoCon opponent this season, Gardner-Webb downed Wofford 2-0.
After the Gardner-Webb match, Furman returns to action September 24-26 when it takes part in the Wofford Invitational. The Paladins will face Ivy League foe Princeton and Liberty.
