Greenville, S.C. - Former Furman men's soccer player and current Charleston Battery midfielder Dominic Cianciarulo was named the United Soccer League's First Division Player-of-the-Week, it was announced on Tuesday.

Cianciarulo netted two goals in the Battery's 2-2 tie with Miami FC this past week in his regular season debut with the club. The Deland, Fla., product knotted the game at 1-1 on a 16-yard volley before scoring in stoppage time to help Charleston earn a point.

A two-time All-Southern Conference choice and two-time NSCAA All-South region pick, Cianciarulo scored 10 goals and added nine assists for Furman from 2004-06. He signed with the Battery last month after impressing in a February trial with the USL club.
