Johnson City, Tenn. -- Goalkeeper Ben Hale registered two saves to pace the 25th-ranked Furman Paladins to a 0-0 draw at ETSU in Southern Conference men's soccer action on Friday night.

Furman, now 7-3-2 overall and 1-1-2 in league play, dominated the chances with a 19-6 edge in total shots and 10-2 advantage in shots on goal. The draw, the third consecutive scoreless tie between the Paladins and Bucs, moved ETSU to 5-2-4 overall and 2-0-2 in league play.

The Paladins went on the attack in the first half as Cole McLagan forced a pair of saves at the 22-minute mark and Danny Kierath forced a third stop by ETSU goalkeeper Jonny Sutherland. Laurence Wyke and Conor Sloan tested Sutherland early in the second half before the Bucs notched their first shot on target in the 69th minute.

With less than five minutes to go in regulation, ETSU's Luke Parker rattled the post with a shot and Danny Barlow collected for a follow-up effort, but Hale turned away the rebound to preserve the clean sheet.

Furman totaled three shots on goal, forcing Sutherland into three saves, in the opening 10-minute overtime, but neither side tested the opposing keeper over the finale 10 minutes.

Sutherland finished with 10 saves for the Bucs. The Paladins notched their second straight 0-0 draw and seventh shutout of the season. Hale's clean sheet marked his fifth of the campaign.
