Men’s Lacrosse Plays Host to Mercer on Saturday

 

Greenville, S.C. – Furman men's lacrosse is back in action on Saturday, welcoming Mercer to Paladin Stadium for a 12:00 p.m. SoCon matchup. The game is set to be streamed live on ESPN3.

Furman (2-8, 0-3 SoCon) is coming off a 17-10 loss at the hands of #14 High Point last weekend.  Furman was led by William Holcomb with four points on the day (two goals, two assists), while Carson Sorrells also added two goals. Chad Kreuzer added two assists to go with his goal, while Corey Hall picked up a team-high five ground balls. Alec Van de Bovenkamp made nine saves on the day.

Mercer (1-8, 1-2 SoCon) is coming off a 16-13 loss to Bellarmine last weekend, after picking up its first SoCon win of the year over VMI on March 23. Sean Goldsmith and Michael Quinn lead the Bears' offensively with 22 and 21 points, respectively. Ashton Wood has earned 85 face-off wins this season, while Josh Tarver has turned in 93 saves this season and a .535 save percentage.
