Greenville, S.C. – Furman men's lacrosse hits the road on Saturday, traveling to High Point, N.C., to face-off against the No. 14 Panthers. The game is set for a 12:00 p.m. start.
Furman (2-7, 0-2 SoCon) is coming off an 11-7 loss at the hands of Air Force last weekend. The Paladins were led by Jarrett Birch with two goals and an assist on the day, while Carson Sorrells and Keegan Pearl each added two goals. Corey Hall caused four turnovers and picked up five ground balls, while Alec Van de Bovenkamp made 11 saves.
High Point (7-2, 1-1 SoCon) is coming off a 12-10 loss at Jacksonville after downing VMI in the 2019 SoCon opener. Sophomore Asher Nolting is tied for fifth in assists per game at 3.00 and seventh in the NCAA in points per game at 5.44. The Greenwood Village, Colo., native leads the Southern Conference (SoCon) in points per game and assists per game. Nolting has scored at least two points in 22-straight games. He has logged 115 total points (52 goals, 63 assists) over that span.
