Men’s Lacrosse Faces Off Against Utah on Saturday


Greenville, S.C. – Furman men's lacrosse returns to Paladin Stadium to close out a three-game homestand on Saturday, playing host to Utah in a 12:00 p.m. matchup.

The Paladins are coming off back-to-back wins last week, downing Canisius 12-10 on Tuesday before topping Hampton, 26-6. Jarrett Birch leads all Paladin scorers with 11 goals on the year, while David Williamson has totaled nine. Alec Van de Bovenkamp has played 283:56 in goal for the Paladins, making 63 saves for a .500 save percentage. 

Utah is in its first full year of Division I lacrosse competition. The Utes are coming off their second victory of the year, a comeback win over Air Force on Sunday, 6-5. Sophomore Josh Stout leads the nation with 20 goals, while Samuel Cambere is tied for the NCAA lead with 11 caused turnovers. Liam Donnelly is tied for third in the nation with 63 saves. Seth Neeleman is tied for 19th in the nation with 22 ground balls.
