Greenville, S.C. – Games against two 2018 NCAA Tournament participants, including a home matchup with Duke, highlight Furman's 2019 men's lacrosse schedule, Furman head coach Richie Meade announced today.
The Paladins look to improve on a 4-10 record in 2018 and will host eight games inside Paladin Stadium. Furman will also play six games on the road, including one neutral-site contest. All of Furman's home games in 2019 are set to be broadcast live on ESPN3/ESPN+.
Furman opens the regular season on February 2, hosting Duke in Paladin Stadium, before traveling to Chapel Hill, N.C., for a February 9 matchup with North Carolina.
The Paladins then head to Philadelphia Pa., on February 16 to take on Sacred Heart at Radnor High School before returning to Greenville to welcome Canisius and Hampton to Paladin Stadium on February 19 and 24, respectively.
The Paladins open March with a home matchup with Utah on March 2. Furman then closes out the non-conference portion of the 2018 schedule at Georgetown on March 5.
Furman remains on the road the following week to open SoCon play at Richmond on March 16, before returning to Paladin Stadium to take on Air Force on March 23. The Paladins then close out the month of March at High Point on March 30.
Furman will play three of their four games in April at home, beginning with back-to-back contests against Mercer and Bellarmine on April 6 and 13, before traveling to Jacksonville on April 20 for the final SoCon road test of the year. The Paladins will then return to Greenville to close out the regular season against VMI on April 27.
The Southern Conference Tournament will be held May 2 & 4 in High Point, N.C.
Fans will be able to buy tickets beginning in January. Fans can purchase a $20 voucher pack before the season begins (20 tickets for $20) and will be able to purchase single game tickets for $5.
