Men’s Lacrosse Plays Host to VMI on Senior Day

Greenville, S.C. – Furman men's lacrosse returns to Paladin Stadium on Saturday, playing host to VMI at 12:00 p.m. in the 2017 regular season home finale. Saturday's game is also senior day, where the 24 members of Furman's Class One are set to be recognized.

The Paladins (6-6, 5-0 SoCon) are coming off a win at High Point on Saturday, pushing their winning streak to five and guaranteeing a spot in the 2017 SoCon tournament. David Williamson led all scorers with four goals and also added an assist for a game-high five points. Jonah Moore added two goals and two assists on the afternoon for four points, while Lou Yovino added two goals. 

VMI (2-10, 0-5) comes to Paladin Stadium on Saturday after dropping a 14-4 decision to Air Force last weekend. The Keydets went down by two scores in the opening minutes but rallied to score three unanswered goals midway through the period to grab a 3-2 lead. The Falcons tied it up a minute later and scored once more before the end of the quarter for a 4-3 advantage, a lead they would not relinquish. VMI is led by Wesley Sanders with 17 goals on the year, while John Daniel has added 13 goals and 19 assists for a team-high 32 points.
