Satterfield Announces Early Signing of Jack Ulrich

GREENVILLE, South Carolina - Furman University men's golf coach Todd Satterfield announced on Friday the signing of Jack Ulrich of Southern Pines, N.C., to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Paladins beginning in the fall of 2006.

A National Honor Society Member, Ulrich attends The O'Neal School where he is on the High Honor Roll and has been voted Senior Class Vice President. He was also the recipient of the 2003 Headmaster's Award for the highest academic average in the freshman class, and was a 2004 Knights of Columbus Achievement in Histoy Award winner.

As a golfer, Ulrich has played in the three U.S. Open Qualifiers and won the Donald Ross Junior in December of 2002, and the NCISAA SA State Championship in 2003 and 2005. In addition, Ulrich was the State Player of the Year in 2003 and paced his team to a second place showing in the state in 2004. He also represented the All-America Team in its competition against Ireland at the Nike Winternationals in 2004.

Ulrich is the lone early signee in Satterfield's class of 2010.
