Paladin Golfers Shoot Third Straight 303 at Mason Rudolph

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The Furman men's golf team shot a third consecutive 303 Sunday at the Mason Rudolph Championships to finish 12th with a 909 total.

Junior Ben Goforth (Shelby, N.C.) and freshman Garland Ferrell (Greenville, S.C.) carded rounds of 73 and 75, respectively, on Sunday to finish in a tie for 39th at 225. Another pair of Paladins, freshmen Matt Hayes (Marietta, Ga.) and Garrett Schneider (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.), ended the tournament tied for 55th at 231 after carding 79 and 76, respectively. Sophomore Chris Gilliland (Chattanooga, Tenn.) rounded out the Paladin effort with a final day 79 and finished tied for 59th at 234.

The Furman golf team returns to action in its final fall tournament Oct. 24-25 at the 49er Collegiate Classic in Charlotte, N.C.
