Paladin Golfers in 13th at Adams Cup

NEWPORT, Rhode Island - The Paladin golf team fired consecutive 320s and is in 13th place after two rounds of the Adams Cup of Newport with a 640 total.
Junior Ben Goforth (Shelby, N.C.) paced the Paladins on Monday with rounds of 78-77 at the 7,244-yard, par 72 Newport Country Club, and is tied for 26th with a 155 total. Teammate Garland Ferrell (Greenville, S.C.) is two strokes back in a tie for 36th after shooting 76-81 on the opening day of the tournament, while senior T.J. Blandford (Paradise Valley, Ariz.)is tied for 43rd at 159 after recording rounds of 84-75.
Freshman Jonathan Bowden (Easley, S.C.) is in a tie for 77th with rounds of 82-88 to his credit, while fellow freshman Jordan Felts (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) is all alone in 77th following rounds of 84-87.
The third and final round of the Adams Cup is slated for Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m.
