Bowden Earns All-Southern Conference Honors; Aloi, Broome Named To All-Freshman Team

Florence, S.C. - Furman's Daniel Bowden was named to the All-Southern Conference team while Anthony Aloi and Matt Broome garnered SoCon All-Freshman honors, it was announced on Tuesday by the league office.

Bowden, a junior from Easley, S.C., posted a 73.56 stroke average this season. He finished the season with three consecutive top 10 finishes placing second at the Furman Intercollegiate, fourth at the Ironwood Pirate Intercollegiate and eighth at this week's SoCon Championship.

Aloi fashioned a 74.20 stroke average as a freshman, including a second place finish at the Mizuno Savannah Intercollegiate. The Plainsboro, N.J., native tallied rounds of 70-74-73 to finish 13th in his first SoCon Championship.

Broome, a native of Barrington, R.I., notched a season-best 19th place finish this week with rounds of 71-69-80. He posted a 75.45 stroke average in 22 rounds prior to the SoCon Championship.
