Furman Falters In Scenic City Final Round

Ooltewah, Tenn. -- The Furman men's golf team struggled to a final round 327 and finished 14th at the 54-hole Scenic City Invitational Tuesday at the 7,215-yard Honors Course.

Charlotte (294-296-300=890) took team honors finishing nine strokes ahead of Middle Tennessee State and 11 strokes in front of Mississippi State. UAB's Garrett Osborn (74-69-74=217) claimed individual honors after enetring the final round three strokes off the lead.

Robert Jamieson led Furman during the final round. Jamieson recorded a third round 78 and was the only Paladin to crack 80 on Tuesday.

The Paladins will be back in action September 16-17, at the Wolverine Intercollegiate at the University of Michigan Golf Course.
