Florence, S.C. - The Furman men's golf team recorded a final round 303 Tuesday and slipped to a 10th place finish at the Southern Conference Championships at the Country Club of South Carolina.
Senior Robert Jamieson, eighth entering play on Tuesday, registered a four-over 76 to finish in a tie for 17th. Jonathan Bowden (79-77-73=229) notched Furman's best round of the day with a one-over 73.
Chattanooga (293-280-291=864) claimed the tournament title at even. Georgia Southern finished second nine strokes off of the pace. J.D. Bass (72-73-68=213) rallied to win individual honors with a final round 68. Bass edged second round leader Jonathan Hodge of Chattanooga by one stroke.
