Florence, S.C. - Furman's Robert Jamieson (73-72=145) recorded an even-par 72 in second round action on Monday to move into a tie for eighth at the Southern Conference Championships at the Country Club of South Carolina.
The Paladin senior notched two birdies and 14 pars to improve three positions entering final round action in the 54-hole event. He stands just three strokes off of the pace set by Chattanooga's Jonathan Hodge (73-69=142) and Davidson's Alex Knoll (72-70=142).
Furman fired a second round 299 as a team and sits in ninth place going into Tuesday's final 18 holes. Chattanooga (293-280=573) hold a seven stroke lead over Georgia Southern after two rounds.
Final round action is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
