Furman Fires Final Round 308, Finishes Eighth At Palmetto Intercollegiate

Aiken, S.C. -- The Furman men's golf team fired a final round 308 to finish eighth at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C., Tuesday morning.

Garrett Schneider paced the Paladins (289-293-308=890) in the final of three rounds with a four-over par 75 while Garland Ferrell and Jordan Felts each posted a six-over 77. Ferrell (70-74-77=221) finished at eight-over par in the 54-hole event to claim 21st place.

Houston and host USC Aiken tied for team honors with three-round totals of 869. The Cougars' Jordan Irwin (70-71-71=212) finished one stroke under par after firing an even-par 71 on Tuesday to claim medalist honors.

The Paladins will host the Furman Intercollegiate March 24-26, at the Furman University Golf Course.
