Aiken, S.C. -- The Furman men's golf team posted a final round 300 to hold on to 10th place at the 10th Annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate Tuesday morning at the 6,565-yard Palmetto Golf Club.
Robert Jamieson (70-79-74=223) and Garland Ferrell (76-73-74=223), who tied for 31st first place, carded Furman's best scores of the round at four over par 74. Jonathan Bowden (74-77-75=226) claimed 40th place at 16 over par with a final round 75.
Defending Division II champion and host USC Aiken rallied from an eight-stroke deficit to claim the team title with a final round 280. The Pacers' Roberto Diaz (76-65-67=208) led the USCA charge and claimed individual honors with a three under 67 on Tuesday.
Furman takes a week off before hosting the 38th Annual Furman Intercollegiate March 23-25, at the Furman University Golf Course.
