Furman Shoots 308 In Dick Wittcoff Invitational First Round

Tampa, Fla.. -- The Furman men's golf team shot a first round 308 to secure 15th place after day one of the Dick Wittcoff Invitational at the USF Golf Course is Tampa, Fla.

Garland Ferrell led the Paladins with a 74 to move into a tie for 22nd while Ben Goforth notched a 77.

Middle Tennessee State and Nebraska fired 288 to tie for the team lead while the Cornhuskers' Brady Schnell posted a five under 67 to take the individual lead.

Round two action is scheduled for Saturday with the final round slated for Sunday.
