Harper Tied For First To Pace Third-Place Furman At The River Run Collegiate

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Junior Keller Harper (-7) posted two rounds under par to grab a share of the individual lead, while Furman (+3) sits in third place following the first day of the River Run Collegiate at the par 72, 7,317 yard River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C.

Harper, a native of Atlanta, Ga., carded four birdies on the front in Monday's first round to turn at four-under, then added an additional birdie on No. 14 for an opening-round 68.  He added a 69 with two birdies on each side in the afternoon round to conclude the day at 68-69=137, tying for the individual lead with Davidson's Jack Lang, who recorded rounds of 67 and 70 on Monday. 

Senior Connor Bruns (-3) is in fourth place after the first day of play.  In the first round, he scored three-straight birdies from No. 4 through No. 6 then added two additional birdies on No. 15 and No. 16, firing a 68 in the day's opening round.  In the second round, Bruns carded a 73 with birdies on No. 8 and No. 17.

Freshman Owen Burden (+4) notched rounds of 75 and 73 to tie for 25th.  In the second round, he scored four birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 1 and No. 2 to end the round.  Senior Garrison Hogan (+10) scored an 82 in round one and improved to an even 72 in round two, scoring a birdie on No. 18 in each round, to tie for 47th.  Junior Matt Lehman (+16) tallied an 81 with a birdie on No. 12 in round one and recorded a 79 with three birdies in the afternoon round, tying for 71st.  

Senior Raj Ghosh, who is playing as an individual, enters the final round tied for 40th.  He scored a 78 with a birdie on No. 1 in the first round of the day, and recorded a 75 with three birdies on the front in the afternoon.

Charlotte (+1) leads the field by just one stroke after Monday's play.  Davidson (+2) is in second, only one stroke ahead of the Paladins (+3).  James Madison (+6) is in fourth, and Richmond (+17) completes the top five. 

Furman will tee off of No. 1 beginning at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday in the final round of the 54-hole tournament and will play in a group with Charlotte, Davidson, and James Madison.  Admission is free and fans are welcome.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via and
