GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's golf team will play at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate this weekend at the par 72, 7,349 yard UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The 54-hole tournament features two rounds on Saturday and a single round on Sunday. Play will begin on with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Paladins will tee off of holes No. 12 through No. 15 and will play in a group with Gardner-Webb and VCU. On Sunday, teams will tee off of No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 8:10 a.m.
Furman will be joined in the 12-team field by host North Carolina, Boston College, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Maryland, UNCG, UNC Wilmington, VCU, and Virginia Tech.
"We gained a lot of confidence at Firestone with our performance in the final round and played like we had been preparing," said Furman head coach Todd Satterfield, who is in his 22nd year at the helm of the Paladin program. "This should be a great event for us to keep the momentum going."
Admission to the tournament is free and fans are welcome. Live tournament scoring will also be available via www.golfstat.com.
