Furman To Play In Clemson Invitational This Weekend

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's golf team will play in the Clemson Invitational this weekend at the par 72, 7,103 yard The Cliffs at Keowee Falls in Sunset, S.C. 

The 54-hole tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day with teams going off of No. 1 and No. 10.  On Friday, Furman will play in a group with Elon and individuals and will tee off of No. 10 at 9:50 a.m.

Furman will be joined in the 13-team field by No. 38 Alabama, Boston College, 18th-ranked Clemson, College of Charleston, Elon, No. 21 Georgia Tech, Louisville, 34th-ranked Michigan State, Navy, UNC Wilmington, SMU, and Winthrop.

The Paladin lineup for the Clemson Invitational includes senior Bryce Howell, junior Hunter Nichols, sophomores Connor Bruns and Garrison Hogan, and freshman Keller Harper.  

"We are really looking forward to the Clemson tournament," said Furman head coach Todd Satterfield, who is in his 21st year at the helm of the Paladin program.  "After a sub-par performance at our home event, we needed to regroup, and this will give us a great chance to get some momentum before the SoCon Championship."
