Furman Men's Golf In Third Place After 18 Holes At Samford Intercollegiate
Birmingham, Ala. -- Freshman Preston Cole posted a two-under par 70 to lead the Furman men's golf team to a four-over 292 and sole possession of third place after 18 holes in the Samford Intercollegiate at the par-72, 7,001-yard Hoover Country Club on Monday.
The tournament was scheduled to begin with 36 holes on Monday, but the opening round was delayed approximately an hour due to frost and golfers were unable to complete second round play due to darkness.
