Fernandina Beach, Fla. -- Senior Austin Reeves (E) fired rounds of 70 and 74 to grab a share of 14th place and help Furman into a tie for 12th place after two rounds in the Amelia Island Intercollegiate on Monday at the par-72 Amelia National Golf Club.
The University of North Florida (-19) posted a first round 279 and maintained its lead through 36 holes with a second round 278. The Ospreys lead second place Texas A&M (-6) by 13 strokes and hold a 15-stroke advantage on third place VCU (-4) entering Tuesday's final round.
UNF's Sean Dale (-7) played the opening 36 holes at seven-under 137 on the strength of a second round 67 to grab the individual lead. Dale's teammate Kevin Phelan (-6) holds second place after carding a five-under 67 in round one and one-under 71 in the afternoon round.
Final round play begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday with the Paladins slated to tee off beginning at 8:36 a.m.
