Reeves, Ulrich Pace Paladins In NCAA Regional Second Round

Alpharetta, Ga. -- Austin Reeves and Jack Ulrich each posted an even-par 72 on Friday to propel the Furman men's golf team to a 294 in the second round of the NCAA Southeast Regional at the Capital City Club's par-70, 7,182-yard Crabapple Course.

Furman (292-294=586) is tied for 10th place with the University of Mississippi entering Saturday's third and final round.
Clemson (-1) opened up a five-stroke lead on second place Oklahoma State (+4) with Georgia Tech (+9), Brigham Young (+16) and South Alabama (+16) rounding out the top five. The top five finishers in the 13-team NCAA Southeast Regional field and the top individual not on a top five team will advance to the NCAA Championship June 1-6, at The Honors Course in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Daniel Bowden, a native of Easley, S.C., joined Ulrich (75-72=147) and Reeves (79-72=151) in leading the Paladins with a one-over 73. The senior holds a share of 25th place after 36 holes.
Saturday's final round is set to tee-off at 7:30 a.m. Furman will tee-off of No. 10 on Saturday beginning at 8:20 a.m.
