GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman linebacker Kadarron Anderson has been named third team All-America by The Sports Network, it has been announced.

Anderson, a 6-foot-1, 235-pound sophomore, paced Furman and ranked second in the Southern Conference with 123 tackles in 2009, helping the Paladins to a 6-5 overall record and 5-3 league mark.

The Greenwood, S.C., product racked up a season high 18 tackles, including two for-loss, in a 26-24 win over Samford and tallied 17 stops in a 33-14 victory over Western Carolina. The former Emerald High standout had 15 tackles in a 38-20 win over Chattanooga and notched 14 stops and league defensive player of the week honors versus Elon.
