GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman University director of athletics Dr. Gary Clark has announced that Furman's Oct. 31 game versus Appalachian State has been designated as a "White Out" at Paladin Stadium.
Paladin fans are asked to wear white to the game as Furman takes on Appalachian State, ranked ninth in this week's Sports Network Football Championship Subdivision poll, in a noon Southern Conference contest that will be televised by Asheville, N.C., ABC affiliate WLOS-TV. Furman will wear white uniforms, its road uniforms, instead of the traditional home purple.
"White Out" t-shirts are $14.98 for short-sleeve and $18.98 for long-sleeve and are available through the Furman online store at www.furmanpaladins.com/store. Three business days are required for shipping through Federal Express Ground.
In addition, a limited number of official "White Out" t-shirts will be available on game day in the concourse of Paladin Stadium.
Tickets to the Furman-Appalachian State game are $25 and may be purchased online at www.furmanpaladins.com/tickets. Youth tickets (ages 4-16) are $10. Fans can also use the promotion code "FDSG09" to purchase "White Out" special adult tickets and save $5/ticket. This promotion is only offered online or by calling Ticketmaster (800) 745-3000. It is not available through the Timmons Arena Box Office or on game day at Paladin Stadium.
Furman takes on arch-rival The Citadel this Saturday in Charleston in a 2:00 p.m. game.
