GREENVILLE, S.C. -- SportSouth will televise two Furman Paladin football games this fall, the network announced today.
Furman's Nov. 1 game against new Southern Conference member Samford and the Paladins' Nov. 15 clash with rival Georgia Southern comprise part of eight SoCon games that will be televised by SportSouth. Kickoff for the Furman-Samford game in Birmingham, Ala., is set for 3:00 p.m. ET, and the Furman-Georgia Southern contest in Greenville is 3:00 p.m. ET start.
SportSouth, part of the FoxNetworks Group, reaches nine million cable and satellite subscribers across a six-state region comprised of South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and regions of central and western North Carolina. It is available in the Upstate over Charter Cable (channel 61) and also over Dish Network (channel 437) and DirecTV (channel 631).
Additional Furman television plans for the 2008 season will be announced next week.
