Furman Football/Lowe's Team Up To Assist Berea Elementary School

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman Paladins football team and Lowe's will team up to assist Berea Elementary School in revitalizing the school's nature trail and walking path beginning Wednesday, April 19, and again on Thursday, April 27, it was announced today.

Select members of the Paladin football team will begin work on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. and will be joined by other squad members at approximately 2:15 in clearing the trail and performing repairs, according to Furman assistant athletics director Chris Colvin, who oversees the university's CHAMPS/Life Skills program and student-athlete services.

Approximately 60 Furman student-athletes will be taking part along with project partner Lowe's, who will assist the effort through donations of rakes, shovels, axes, mulch and other materials.
