March 17, 2006
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman Paladins continue spring practice this Saturday with a scrimmage in Paladin Stadium beginning at 11:00 a.m., head coach Bobby Lamb confirmed today.
"We plan to go for about two hours and look forward to getting a lot accomplished," said Lamb on Friday. "We're already about halfway through spring practice, and we're pleased with the progress we've seen in several players."
Saturday's scrimmage will mark the eighth of 15 scheduled practices for the Paladins, who will continue drills on Monday at 3:45 and Tuesday at 4:45.
Following the scrimmage the team will be joined by Furman's recent class of 12 football signees and projected walkons for a picnic.
Furman returns 42 lettermen and 14 starters off last year's squad, which posted an 11-3 record and No. 3 final national ranking.
