Furman: Will attempt to return to action this fall after missing virtually the entire spring due to a torn quadriceps muscle...a healthy comeback would be a bonus for a Paladin receiving corps that sustained substantial graduation losses in Isaac West (60 rec., 6 TDs), a free agent signee of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Brian Bratton (55 rec., 9 TDs), a free agent signee of the Atlanta Falcons...will contend with Josh Stepp and Ryan McKie for playing time at the flanker spot...joined the Paladin program in 2003 after spending one year at Vanderbilt, where as a true freshman he saw action in 2002 at both wide receiver and punt return specialist. 2004 -- Saw action in all 13 games in a reserve capacity...caught five passes for 127 yards and touchdown and rushed 11 times for 43 yards and a score...opened the season with a 52-yard catch in a 52-7 win over Presbyterian...caught a seven-yard touchdown pass against Western Carolina (31-10 win), and ran seven yards for a score versus Jacksonville State (49-7 win) in NCAA I-AA first round playoff action...also had a 46-yard catch against the Gamecocks. 2003 -- Registered playing time in all 11 games, almost exclusively as a receiver...caught eight passes for 76 yards...had season best two receptions for 25 yards versus Wofford...had a 20-yard catch against Elon (24-7 win) in his first game as a Paladin...stepped in for a injured Justin Stepp to serve as the team's punt returner against East Tennessee State (30-10 win)...had a season long 20-yard run in a 45-0 whitewash of Gardner-Webb. 2002 -- Lettered as a true freshman at Vanderbilt, seeing action in eight games...caught three passes for 39 yards and led his squad with 11 punt returns for 47 yards...had a season long 32-yard reception in season opener versus Georgia Tech (45-3 loss).

High School: 2002 graduate of Mountain Brook High School...football coach was Joey Jones...as a senior set school records for receptions (55) and receiving yards (838) for 10 touchdowns in helping his squad to a 10-2 record and into the state 6A playoffs...also ran for 11 touchdowns and 223 yards on only 26 carries...returned 12 kicks for 320 yards, including one for 82 yards and a score...served as team captain in 2001 and was named co-most valuable player...was named first team super all-state by Alabama Sportswriters and Birmingham News, and to Super All-Metro Birmingham, SuperPrep All-American, and PrepStars All-Southeast Teams...former high school teammate of Paladin sophomore wide receiver Patrick Sprague...part of a eight-member contingent of Birmingham natives currently playing for Furman.
