Paladins Ranked 21st, 25th In FCS Weekly Polls

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman is ranked 21st and 25th in this week's American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) FCS and STATS FCS Top 25 polls, respectively, it was announced today.

Furman (0-1), which opened the season on Saturday by dropping a 48-7 contest to FBS second-ranked Clemson, remained No. 21 in the AFCA poll but slid two spots from No. 23 to 25th in the STATS poll.

Elon (0-1), which the Paladins face on the road this Saturday in a 6:00 p.m. contest, is ranked 15th in both polls after dropping a 34-14 season opening verdict to South Florida.

Defending national champion North Dakota State remained a consensus No. 1 after clubbing Cal Poly, 49-3, in its 2018 season opener.
